Does anxiety disorder run in genes?

We recently discovered, i have anxiety disorder, and was think about it long and hard. I always freak out under stress, i can't focus when someone is yelling. People shouting is the hardest for me to cope with. I feel extremely pained when i hear the voice of anyone of my family members shouting. Although, they're all very nice ppl and i have a decent life, I feel like l'm so unlucky bcz ppl in our household yell so much all the time. Then, it came to me. I thought my mom (who yells the most) could have anxiety disorder as well. When i thought that, i imagined my mom taking medicine, and never being the same way she is again. That seems like such a luxury to me. She also, is very bad with handling stress, and hates shouting. So, my question is; Does anxiety disorder run in the family??
