Isn't the "WHO ASKED PAYS" rule bogus and need to be changed to a "U pay next I pay" system from the start ?

me and my husband split everything except for our first date he bought us a pizza and bottle of wine but we went drinking after and we did rounds for drinks. i have paid half towards my dates the lads i always got with where always skint! I always insisted cause its not fair on one person when you are young and have no money. We did some random stuff when we were younger one of my mates boyfriends took her for a candlelit mcdonals in is mums caravan. It was hardly the ritz but women arent bothered by this they just want to spend time with you.
