Ladies what should I do?

I'm trying to figure out whether or not to cut my hair. It's different when it gets long cause I'm white, black and native american. So it tends to be wavy, with large, thick curls. So should I just cut it short or let the curls swoop around? (It's about 4 inches long right now)
