Can I complain to you all for a minute ( Gay )?
Well I have to say, Im 20 and live in Los Angeles, near West Hollywood. So i know exactly how you feel. I was the hook-up type for a VERY small amount of time. I think its merely because it's easy for guys to hook up with each other, and they start to enjoy the fact that they can go from person to person and not have any type of attachment. Like I said, I know exactly how you feel because after about 2 months, I grew tired of hook-ups, and felt like I wanted something more. But unfortunately, like you have discovered, not many people are looking for more than a hookup and it sucks. Personally I think its worse out here in Los Angeles, mostly because there are A LOT of fake people out here. And I got the same rap that you hear, "you're only 20", "enjoy life single"...blah blah blah indeed lol. I wanted the stability of having ONE partner. Really all you are able to do is wait. There are some good people out there. I met my boyfriend 2 months ago, and I couldnt be happier with him right now. Yeah, it was a fast relationship, we met and decided to start going out the same day, but who cares? It's an adventure getting to know each other. Not only that but we didnt have until a week after we started dating...which totally discredits what Goldwing said. Patience is the best thing you can exercise in this situation. Believe me I know its not something you want to do, but if you dont you just end up setting yourself up for disappointment after disappointment. Just wait for him he will come. You never know, you may meet him in the most unusual of places. I met mine off of an iPhone app called Grindr which is for hookups mainly...but who says you cant use it for trying to find a boyfriend? Adam 4 Adam is the same deal, its free, mainly used for hook ups but you can put on there that you specifically are looking for a relationship. OK now that Ive given you a novel I hope you can understand that finding a good relationship is nothing but a waiting game.
