I have the Orion SkyQuest Xt 10 & Im having problems finding stuff...I dont know where to look, Please Help!!?

It just makes me a little mad because I dont know where to look & when I do find something I dont know what im looking at. I heard those star charts were hard to learn. Please help me, whats the best way to learn the night sky. I want to know where to look & what im looking at. Where is the andromeda galaxy right now? I live in South Carolina, should I look east, west, north or south. I dont know the constellations so telling me which one it is in want help me. What do I need to do?? Something EASY & fast
