Should I date somebody I work with but haven't talked to?

First things first, establish eye contact; depending on her reaction, you make your next move. If she smiles or maintains longer-than-expected eye contact (not a creeped out kind of look), a simple "hi" will do. As for your colleagues, throw them out of the picture, do not consider what others will think or say. You work in a cubicle, so I'm sure this will not affect your performance. Get creative in your converstation, ask questions, look for clues about what she likes, and ask more questions. Don't reveal too much about yourself because when you talk about yourself, women get very turned off. Make the convo short, but not too short. Remember to be y and funny, women love that; playfully tease her about something. Over time she will respond positively (we hope) to your interventions. Do not resort to the bar scene; that is a major mistake most men make. At a bar or dance club, everybody has their shield up; talking is difficult because of the noise; also, keep in mind that you will not find a lonely, pretty woman at a bar. 99.999999% of the time they are with a friend or friends, which makes it difficult to approach, especially when you are alone. I reccommend a book store or coffee shop, that is where you will find neat, foxy women looking for someone to intrigue her; their shields are almost always down at these kinds of places. Always be confident and maintain a good sense of humor; those two traits are the most important when it comes to attracting women. Good luck buddy
